Rev. Michael Newman

Rev. Michael NewmanGod's goodness and grace have been evident in Michael Newman's life from his earliest days. Having received such precious gifts, Michael's passion is to share that blessing of hope in Jesus Christ in practical and meaningful ways. Throughout the years, this outreach has come in the form of local community relationships, serving as a pastor in congregations, preaching, teaching, multi-media ministry, writing, and helping to start new ministries.

Michael received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University in Ann Arbor, Michigan, graduating with majors in philosophy and Biblical languages. He received his Master's of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. His latest book, "The Life You Crave: It's All About Grace" (Concordia Publishing House, 2014), lifts up the blessing of God's grace as the "something more" people crave from day to day. Michael thoroughly enjoys his ongoing creative collaborative work with Lutheran Hour Ministries.

In his personal moments, you'll find him hanging out with his family, reading a good book, and running the Texas roads. He currently serves as a mission strategist for the Texas District, LCMS, working to share God's grace with people who need the Good News. Michael has been married to Cindy since 1983. They have been blessed with two wonderful daughters and a delightful granddaughter. To find out more about his life, his writings and his thoughts, go to www.mnewman.org.
